How to remove the lock or transfer ownership?

Do you want to stop using the Bold Smart Cylinder? Or would you like to pass it on to someone else? Simply choose the specific device, head to 'Manage' in the settings screen and you will see options to choose from.

1. Transfer to contact

If you decide to go with this option, you have the ability to transfer the device to another person. In order to proceed, you will need their phone number – which you can conveniently select from your contact list.

The option ‘Transfer shares’ allows you to pass on existing users to the new owner, too. This way, nobody loses access to the device. This option is only recommended when the new owner is someone you know, such as a family member.

2. Transfer to an organization
Are you a Portal administrator of a Bold Portal organization? If you belong to an organization, you have the option to transfer the device to your organization. Once you have selected the organization, you will be able to transfer shares (refer to option 1). A device that is intended for an organization is initially installed by an individual and then transferred to the organization through this process.

3. Uninstall device
To remove the device completely, simply select this option. Once completed, please first disassemble the physical Cylinder before passing on the lock to a new owner. They can then install it for their own use. Rest assured, all users have been removed from the device and the entire access history has been deleted.
