There are several options for locking the door. We explain three of them here.
Option 1: Manually
The inside knob of the Bold Smart Cylinder is always connected with the cylinder. Simply turn the inside knob to lock the door from the inside. Because the inside knob is always connected with the cylinder, the Bold Smart Cylinder is suitable for emergency exit applications.
Option 2: Inside knob
You can easily lock the door by briefly pressing the inner knob when leaving the house. The knob will make a sound and the green circle will flash once. Then, the Bold Smart Cylinder will be active for 10 seconds. Within these 10 seconds, you should leave the house and turn the knob on the outside, so the door is locked.
When the Bold Smart Cylinder is deactivated, you will hear another sound. This means the door is locked. If you haven’t locked the door on time, press the inner knob again. Do you need more or less time to operate the lock? Use the Bold App to arrange it.
Option 3: Using the Bold App
Don’t want to press the inner knob to lock the door? In that case, you can activate the Bold Smart Cylinder using the Bold App, so you won’t have to re-open the door after stepping outside and closing it.
Also you can use the Bold Clicker or the backup pin for locking the door from the outside.
