Smart Home Integrations for Bold: Homey

Bold Smart Lock and Homey can work together to sync up your house. Here’s what this means: when you unlock your door, your home is ready to greet you.

So you’ve set up your Bold Smart Lock and Homey account. What’s next?

After setting up both devices individually, you can start the pairing process. This will
allow the devices to communicate with one another. Just find the Bold extension in
the Homey app and install it so you’ll have Bold as an available connection.

To access your Bold Smart Locks, log into your Bold account within the Homey app.

If you want to add a new device, you can search for the device brand. You will see all
Bold Smart Locks you can access on your account, and you can pick the lock(s) you
want to add to your Homey profile.

Activation

Now that your device is paired, you can communicate with your Bold Smart Lock
through Homey and activate it within the Homey app. If your Homey device is set up
close enough to the lock, Bluetooth activation is enabled.

Is your Bold Smart Lock out of your Homey’s Bluetooth range? No problem. Your Homey can also activate your lock through the internet using Remote Activation (which doesn’t involve Bluetooth). Just add a Bold Connect to your Bold Smart Lock so you don't have to worry about the distance.

Flows

Once the Bold Smart Lock is connected to your Homey device, you can integrate
your locks into your Homey Flows. Need more information? Head to Homey's

FAQs

My Homey can’t activate my lock.

Usually you can solve this issue by setting up the Homey device closer to the Bold
Smart Lock so they can communicate with each other.

Another option is to add a Bold Connect to your home setup, which enables your
Homey to activate your lock through the internet instead of Bluetooth.

Can I add multiple Bold accounts to my Homey?

Absolutely! Feel free to invite multiple users to use your Homey. Each user can pair
their Bold account with their app to access locks across multiple accounts on one
Homey device.
