Smart Home integrations for Bold: Google Home

Love using your Google Home? You may notice that Bold now has an option to connect within the Google Home app!

If you have Bold App version 2.5.0 or later then you can use the new Google Home integration.

It will appear in the integrations tab of your Bold App after the connection has been made from your Google Home App.

Note: The Bold Connect is necessary to use this integration so the Bold Smart Lock is bridged to the internet.

You should start by heading to your Google Home app; tap Add at the top left, Set up device, and select Works with Google.

Flows

With more home integrations, and especially the amount that Google Home boasts, you can connect so many of your smart devices to Google Home and put them into a flow with your Bold Smart Lock.

Want a lock activation to turn on the lights, play some music and greet you home? Done. Leaving the house shuts everything down? No problem.

This smart home integration can help you automate your whole house to work smoothly around you, allowing you to spend less time on checking if the lights and tv are off, and more time going to the park with your kids or meeting your best friend to go and watch the latest movie.

Pincode

The pin-code is a security layer for your Google Home. This would mean that, should you want to tell Google to activate your lock, it would need to hear the pin before it did it.

This pin can be found by clicking on the Google Home integration in the Bold App. You can change it to something more memorable for you or simply turn it off if you don’t like it either.

We’re really happy to bring this feature to you and look forward to seeing it make your life and tech work for you.
