How do you install the Bold Smart Lock?

The Quick Installation Guide provided here below the video is also included with every Bold Smart Lock.

Note: The inner knob is not built to withstand different weather conditions, so always place it indoors. Tip: Keep the door open until installation is complete.

Download the Bold App: Get the Bold App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Activate the battery: Remove the battery tab to initiate the connection.
Secure the engine: Tighten the engine using the small screw through the back of the inner knob. This step is required for secure installation.
Pair the Bold Smart Lock: Press and hold the inner knob for 5 seconds until it starts flashing red. In the Bold App, click the plus (+) sign and follow the app instructions.
Remove the outer knob: Use the hexagonal allen key provided.
Remove the old cylinder: Unscrew the cylinder locking bolt, insert the key into the old cylinder, twist, and pull to remove it.
Adjust with adapters: If necessary, use the provided adapters to ensure the Bold Smart Lock profile is flush with the doorframe.
Insert the new lock: Place the Bold Smart Lock into the opening with the large inner knob inside. Align it with the mechanism to ensure proper function.
1. Secure the new lock: Insert and tighten the locking screw.
Attach the outer knob: Place the small outer knob on the Bold Smart Lock and tighten it using the hexagonal allen key.
Test the lock: Press the activation button in the Bold app and immediately turn the small outer knob to ensure proper functionality.

Smart Engine Securing Screw:
In the small plastic bag with the extension pieces, you will find a tiny screw to secure the electronic smart engine in the inside knob. This screw is recommended for public places such as gyms, hotels, and office buildings, adding an extra layer of security. Insert the screw before placing the Bold Smart Lock in the door. Once inserted, it is impossible to remove the electronic smart engine without removing the entire cylinder from the door.
