How to connect your Bold smart lock to your Bold Connect?
The Bold Connect automatically detects all Bold smart locks in its vicinity. This doesn’t require any action from you.
In short
All locks installed on the same account as the Bold Connect can be remotely activated, provided the Bold smart locks are within range of the Bold Connect. Typical range is 3 to 5 metres (this depends on the location).
Why remote activation might fail

The Bold Connect is too far from the Bold smart lock.

The Bold Connect is not online.

Obstacles reduce signal quality (walls or metal objects can interfere).
How to improve range and stability

Check placement
Keep the Bold Connect within 3 to 5 metres of the lock.Shift the Bold Connect slightly to reduce obstacles and improve the signal.

Use the range booster for Bold Elite
If you use Bold Elite, enable the range booster in the Bold app (this extends range and stabilises the connection with the Bold Connect). -
Check signal strength in the app
Open the Bold app to view signal strength for all Bold smart locks detected by the Bold Connect (this quickly highlights which lock needs attention). The signal strength can be found in the Device Information screen of the Bold smart lock. -
Large locations
In larger sites, you may need multiple Bold Connects to ensure each lock sits within reliable range.
