It’s important that you install the Bold app and connect the Bold Smart Cylinder to your smartphone before placing the Bold Smart Cylinder in the door. This way, you’ll have full control over the cylinder and lock mechanism, even if you accidentally shut the door.
You can download the Bold app for free in the Apple Store or Google Play Store. The Bold app is available for Android and iOS.
To install the Bold app, you need to do two things: create an account and pair it to the Bold Smart Cylinder.
Creating an account
- Open the Bold App and select ‘Create account.’
- Select your country and enter your cell phone number.
- You will receive a verification code via text message.
- Enter the verification code into the Bold App.
- Enter your email address and password (twice).
- You will receive an email containing a verification link. Open the email and click on the link.
The Bold App is now installed and ready to use.
