Make sure to install the Bold app and connect the Bold Smart Lock to your smartphone before placing the cylinder in the door. This ensures you have full control over the cylinder and lock mechanism, even if you accidentally shut the door.
Downloading the Bold app
The Bold app is free and available in both the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
Creating an account
- Open the Bold App
- Choose your sign-in method: Apple, Google or Password.
- For Apple or Google sign-in, simply follow the on-screen instructions to log in using your Apple ID or Google account.
- For Password sign-in:
- Enter your email address and press continue.
- Enter the verification code sent to your continue.
- Enter your phone number and press continue.
- Enter your first and last name and press continue.
- Enter your password twice and confirm it by pressing register.
The Bold app is now installed and ready to use.
Beta Testing

- Android: Turn this on in the Google Play Store.
- iOS: Open the following link on your iPhone and follow the steps: Bold beta for iOS.
