Enhance your Bold Smart Lock by adding users through the Bold App, allowing friends or family access without needing to be physically present. Follow these steps to invite new users.
Step-by-step guide to adding users:
- Open the Bold App on your smartphone.
- Select the Bold Smart Lock you wish to add a new user to.
- Tap on the user icon () to access the overview of users currently associated with the lock.
- Press the icon that shows a person with a plus sign (located in the top right corner).
- Enter the first and last name of the person you wish to add. The screen will also display suggestions of users you have previously invited through the Bold app, facilitating quicker additions.
- Choose the access rights you wish to grant the new user. The options are as follows:
- Admin: This gives the user full administrative rights over the Bold Smart Lock.
- Allow Clicker: The user will be able to use a Bold Clicker to activate the Bold Smart Lock.
- Remote Control: If supported, this allows the user to activate the Bold Smart Lock remotely.
- Schedule: Set access to either 'Always' available or 'Temporary', with temporary access automatically expiring after a designated period. You can also define specific days and times for access.
- Activation Alerts: Opt in to receive notifications whenever this user activates the Bold Smart Lock.
- Tap on 'Invite' after setting the permissions. You can choose to invite via SMS, email, or by sharing a link/QR code. The QR code is especially convenient if the new user is physically nearby. If you choose the link option, you can then select which channel to send it through.
- Validity period: Below the name of the invitee, the app will display the validity period of the invitation.
- Manage invitations: In the users overview screen, you have the option to resend invitations, delete them, or edit user names as needed.
