# How to add users in the Bold app?
## Easily give others access to your Bold Smart Lock by adding users through the Bold app ideal for family, friends, or colleagues, no matter where you are.
### **Adding users in a few simple steps:**
1. Open the Bold app on your smartphone.
2. Choose the Bold Smart Lock you want to share access to.
3. Tap on the user icon () to see an overview of all current users.
4. Press the **plus icon** (a person with a plus sign in the top-right corner).
5. Enter the first and last name of the person you're inviting. The app will show suggestions based on people you've previously added, making the process even faster.
6. Select the access rights you want to grant:
- **Admin**: Gives full access and management rights over the lock.
- **Allow Clicker**: Lets the user activate the lock using a Bold Clicker.
- **Remote Control**: If supported, allows remote operation of the lock.
- **Schedule**: Choose between full-time or temporary access. For temporary use, you can set specific days and times.
- **Activation Alerts**: Receive a notification whenever this user activates the lock.
7. Once permissions are set, tap Invite. You can send the invitation via SMS, email, QR code, or direct link. The QR code is perfect if the person is nearby. For links, you can choose the app or platform to send it through.
8. Under the name, the app displays the validity period of the invitation.
9. After sending, go back to the user overview to manage invites. From there, you can resend, delete, or edit them anytime.
### One lock, unlimited possibilities
You can add an unlimited number of users to one Bold Smart Lock. Officially, the limit is 1,000,000 users, so unless you’re running a stadium, you’re covered. If you're somehow close to hitting that number, let us know, we’d love to hear your story! 😊
