How do you open your Bold Smart Lock in the Bold app?

A simple guide to opening your door with the Bold app.

Congratulations on installing your Bold Smart Lock! But how do you easily open your door? Just follow these steps:

1. Open the Bold app and go to the main screen. Here, you’ll see the lock that’s closest to you.

2. Check the activation button: If you’re within Bluetooth range, the button will appear in orange. If Bluetooth is off or you’re too far from the lock, the button will turn grey.

3. Activate the lock: Press the orange activation button. A green timer will start around the button. At this point, your Bold Smart Lock is activated, and you can turn the outer knob to open the door.

Using a Bold Connect?

1. Connect activation: With a Bold Connect, the activation button will remain orange even when you’re out of Bluetooth range. When you press ‘Activate’ on an Android device, a pop-up will ask if you want to open the lock remotely. On an iOS device, activation happens directly.

2. Confirm your choice (Android only): Select ‘Activate’ to confirm. A green timer will start around the button, indicating that the Bold Smart Lock is activated and can be opened.
