Can you use the Bold Smart Cylinder in combination with core pull protection and/or a multi-point lock?

The Bold Smart Cylinder is suitable for combining with core pull protection and a multi-point lock. Even both systems in the same door are no problem for the Bold!

Cylinder pulling protection

Security fittings with cylinder pulling protection protect the cylinder, making cylinder pulling impossible. The cylinder is fully enclosed by metal.

The outside of the Bold Smart Cylinder has a special construction, which is why it’s perfectly possible to use the cylinder in combination with all types of security fittings with cylinder pulling protection. The outer knob is mounted on a thin, 3-mm-thick pin.

A point of attention is that you cannot use the longest extension piece on the outer length of the Bold, because then there may be too little length left on the pin to go through the core pulling fitting and attach the outer knob to it.

For the SX-33 as an example, this can be the case if your outer length is 45 mm and you have core pull protection. If this causes problems in your case, we recommend that you go for an SX35, which can accommodate larger outer lengths.

Multi-point lock
A multi-point lock is a locking system that is incorporated in your door. As a result, in addition to the well-known 'dead bolt' in the middle of the door, you also have pins or hooks at the top and bottom of the door.

The Bold can operate multi-point locks via the cylinder, but systems with a separate lever are also no problem. Well-known multi-point locks are 3 or 5 point locks.

These different systems are no problem for the Bold Smart Cylinder as it is a freely rotating euro profile cylinder.
