How to manage your Bold Connect settings?

Managing your Bold Connect settings is quick, intuitive, and all done through the Bold app. In just a few taps, you can personalize your device, transfer ownership, manage connected locks, and more. Here's how to take control of your Bold Connect experience.

Access your Bold Connect settings

Getting started is easy:

  1. Open the Bold app.

  2. Tap the central Home button at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select your Bold Connect device.

  4. Tap Settings.

From here, you’ll have everything at your fingertips to manage your Bold Connect.

Review device information

In the Device information section, you can check all the essential details about your Bold Connect:

  • Name: Personalize your Bold Connect by giving it a custom name.

  • Model: Identified as Connect.

  • Serial number: A unique identifier, typically 5 or more digits.

  • Owner: Displays the current digital owner of the Bold Connect.

  • Firmware version: Shows the installed software version and alerts you when updates are available.

Manage ownership or remove the device

Need to transfer ownership or remove the device from your account? The Manage section makes it simple:

  • To transfer ownership:

    1. Select Transfer to another user (or Transfer to an organisation if available).

    2. Choose the user or organisation from the list.

    3. Confirm the transfer by selecting Confirm.

Important:
Once you transfer ownership, this action cannot be undone.

  • To remove the device from your account:
    If you plan to sell or no longer use the Bold Connect, select Uninstall device to remove it from your account before handing it over.

Connect to Wi-Fi

Ensure your Bold Connect communicates smoothly with the Bold server by connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. This step is essential for enabling remote control of your connected locks.

Check connected locks

View and manage all Bold Smart Locks linked to your Bold Connect:

  • Test remote activation for each lock.

  • Check the signal strength between your Bold Connect and each lock to ensure a reliable connection.

Enable controller mode for more flexibility
